1st National Consultation Meeting (By and For Women Who Use Drugs)
Dristi Nepal organized it's 1st National Consultation Meeting on 11th and 12th May at CW Restaurant at Kamaladi with the support of ASHA Project/Futures Group International. 50 women who use drugs from various regions of Nepal actively participated in the consultation. The major outcome of the program was the declaration particpated by the group and signed to advocate for the rightful existence of the women who use drugs in Nepal.

We women using drugs have come together in this 1st National Consultation Meeting( By and For) held on 11th-12th May, 2009 in Kathmandu declare:-
We urge for disaggregated data of women who use drugs and response immediately in Nepal.
Build on consensus and progress made at previous Drug Act 2033 by nation we urge the policy makers to urgently address and corporate issues of women who use drugs in the draft of upcoming Drug Act 2063 on our consents since it directly affects us.
We Promote, respect and protect all human rights of women who use drugs.
We will fight for our rights to life, survival and development with responsibilities.
We declare to advocate for the rights of Women employees who use drugs as service providers.
We declare the argument to put the issues of women who use drug rights in women rights movement, in national and international level.
We won’t tolerate our exclusion in consultation, decision making policy making and advisory structures in our issues.
Our issues to be addressed and included in National policy for drugs / HIV & AIDS and health related issues.
